Bicycleface recently went on a ride and shared with us his adventure…
The Syncline. A very scenic place to ride. Trails, Mountains, Valleys, Rivers, Flowers & Big Sky in Washington. A Syncline is a fold of rock layers. Synclines form when rocks are compressed by plate-tectonic forces. They can be as small as the side of a cliff or as large as an entire valley. Folds typically form during crustal deformation as the result of compression that accompanies organic mountain building. Organic mountain building, equals Great Trails!.
