6 Mile

Its all single track with the occassional log obstacle and some nicely built bridges over water crossings. It has a few burst climbs, but everything flows. Congrats goes to the folks who built and maintain these trails… they are nicely laid out. Speed rules this place and if your able to hang the turns you will find yourself on one helluva joy ride. We got our pace up to 25 mph at one point which is pretty hard to believe as there is no downhill. Our total mileage in this place exceeded 16 miles (6 mile?). You’ll be pushing the pedal the entire ride, but like us, you’ll just want to keep pushing yourself to go faster as you meander through these twisty trails…until you find yourself going too fast that you start to clip trees. Unfortunately the park is divided by a public road which must be crossed.. you’ll know what deer feel like…just look both ways.

One of the many wooden bridge sections on the blue trail…
You’ll find the trails are marked yellow, red and blue. Red, for now, is off limits (with hopes one day it will be designated multi-use trails). Yellow and Blue is your mountain bike play ground. When you don’t see a marker…use “the force”… or just keep riding. Eventually the maze of trails brings you to where you want to go.
The trails have some technical spots, but overall its pretty smooth.

Bridge over water… A friend once told his girlfriend who he was breaking up with to “Cry a river, build a bridge, and get over it” Not sure what that has to do with this bridge, but I always found that saying hilarious…
Lastly, remember.. its not 6 miles long…

6 Mile is fun.
