If you own a proper knife there is no reason you shouldn’t own a proper sheath. Most of the sheaths that come with quality knives are decent but there are short comings with most stock sheaths whether it’s materials, fit or the quality.

There are ton of sites talking about knives but no one ever covers how to properly use these tools. Pablo from Woodlife gives a quick run through on some of the basics. Pablo has great YouTube Channel as well that’s worth looking at.

is a good knife. Most survival experts when giving you their list of items to bring with you into the backcountry always includes a good knife. The trick though is selecting a knife that can perform other functions. TOPS is one of those companies that makes quality knives including the popular Tom Brown Tracker pictured above. Their knives (or tools as thy call them) are a bit pricey but you get hand crafted quality, a great warranty and from what I read out standing customer service. The designs and craftsmanship are works of art and are a great addition to your pack.
